Course Overview
What if your team could seamlessly manage secure, scalable microservices-based applications across multiple providers, on-premises or on Google Cloud? The Architecting Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure with Anthos course is designed to make that possible. This authorized training provides the cloud skills and tools needed to explore and deploy using Kubernetes, enforce consistent policies, and simplify operations in complex hybrid environments.
As the first course of the Architecting Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure with Anthos path, this immersive training course prepares cloud administrators, system engineers, and architects to support containerized applications across diverse cloud environments. You'll work with components of the Anthos platform—including GKE, Anthos Service Mesh, and Anthos Config Management—to build consistent, scalable infrastructure across distributed systems.
With hands-on experience and labs, participants will use tools like Istio Service Mesh and Anthos, monitor applications using Kubernetes, and manage clusters from the GCP console whether clusters are hosted by multiple providers or deployed on-premises or on Google Cloud. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how clusters are part of Anthos, how to manage services that span multiple clusters in GCP, and how to apply Git-based configuration workflows with mesh and Anthos Config Management.
This course builds on Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure and is a continuation of Architecting with GKE. It’s ideal for professionals who have completed Google Cloud Fundamentals and want to advance their understanding of cloud infrastructure foundations with Anthos while supporting enterprise-ready, modern applications using leading cloud technologies.
Who Should Attend
The Architecting Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure with Anthos course is designed for cloud architects, cloud administrators, DevOps engineers, and system operators who are responsible for building and managing modernize solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure across Google Cloud and hybrid environments.
Course Objectives
The Architecting Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure with Anthos course prepares learners to design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure with Anthos for real-world use cases. Participants will learn how to connect clusters across on-premises and GCP, apply consistent policy enforcement using Anthos Config Management, and leverage Istio service mesh for security, observability, and traffic control. The course emphasizes hands-on experience with tools like GKE, Git-based configuration, and Google Cloud monitoring solutions to help you deploy and operate scalable, secure, and responsive infrastructure.
