AWS Migration Essentials is a one-day, instructor-led training introducing IT professionals to the key phases, strategies, and services that drive successful cloud migration. Built around the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), the course helps teams plan and perform migration projects with confidence—leveraging Amazon Web Services tools, frameworks, and best practices.
Participants explore how to assess environments, mobilize stakeholders, and ultimately migrate and modernize applications and databases using AWS. Through real AWS environments with hands-on labs, you'll gain the practical insight needed to lead or support a migration effort in your organization.

Course Objectives
This high-level training course equips learners with the foundational skills needed to support successful migrations using AWS. You’ll learn how to build a business case, define migration goals, and align workloads with AWS migration patterns. The course also covers application migration, database migration, and how to use AWS-native tools to support discovery, tracking, and modernization.
Special emphasis is placed on understanding the methodologies for discovering existing workloads and evaluating them for cloud readiness. This course helps cloud architects, administrators, and solutions architects better understand how to use AWS to accelerate an organization’s journey to the AWS Cloud.
