New Horizons for State of Maine

Contract Overview

New Horizons offers Microsoft Technical and Microsoft Office training to the State of Maine which includes live virtual instructor led training for individuals and dedicated virtual or onsite instructor led (classroom-based) training for groups. Requests for individual enrollment in courses on our open enrollment schedule may be completed by searching courses on this portal and filling out the form. For requesting dedicated events for both standard and customized curriculum to be delivered virtually or onsite, you may request them directly from Brenda Carnes using contact information above. Blended instruction (any combination of all methods) may be request as well.

Start Time and Cancellation Policy

• I. New Horizons will notify the Department in writing of course cancellation at least five (5) business days prior to the course start date (unless circumstances beyond the instructor’s control like death of family member or instructor’s illness).
• II. The Department will not pay any fees for courses that are cancelled by New Horizons.
• III. The Department will make every effort to keep the agreed upon schedule for each training. In the event, the Department must cancel a scheduled course, no cancellation fees may be charged if the course is cancelled up to five (5) business days prior to the scheduled course (unless circumstances beyond control like weather or pandemic).
• IV. If the Department cancels the course with less than five (5) business days from the scheduled start of the course, a cancellation fee may be assessed to the Department by New Horizons.
• V. The Department reserves the right to negotiate cancellation fees for any trainings resulting from this Request for Proposal. In any case, New Horizons will work to reschedule the student.
